Clifton Park, NY— Mooradians Furniture recently completed the largest non-utility owned commercial solar array operational in New YorkState. The 80.64 kilowatt photovoltaic (PV) power system, installed by New York Light Energy over five days in June on both the Clifton Park and Albany locations of Mooradians Furniture, was partially funded with more than $300,000 in incentives from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). The system, which includes 384 solar panels mounted onto each building, is expected to generate 98,510 kilowatt hours of electricity and reduce Mooradians’ carbon footprint by nearly 90,000 lbs. per year.
